Reference Data Module

The RDM hosts a global collection of harmonized and curated in-situ reference datasets on land cover and crop type, freely accessible to everyone. It includes datasets from various providers, with standardized metadata and attributes mapped to a unified crop type legend. Built-in automated data quality checks, along with careful curation by WorldCereal data moderators, ensure high and transparent data quality. Through the RDM, users can view, query, download, contribute to, and share in-situ reference data.

WorldCereal aims to engage with the global agricultural community to stimulate and facilitate the opening and sharing of reference data.

If you wish to contribute data to WorldCereal, it remains private by default. However, we encourage you to share it with the WorldCereal consortium or more openly if possible. Learn how to share your data safely and receive proper attribution here .
